This shoot *almost* did not happen because the sky kept threatening rain...but the cloud cover made for amazing light and I was so glad we went ahead as scheduled. I love all the images from this session so it was hard for me to pick a few to preview...but I am saving my super favorites as a surprise for Caroline and Bradley's parents! 

Back in my brief wedding photography career, I had the pleasure of working with this wonderful couple...and like many of those couples, their family is growing. I don't post a lot of maternity here...but they are so cute, I just cannot resist! 

After our shoot at the Bear's Club, Will and Christian showed me their amazing driving talents...and they are really good! (Personally, I like to stick to wii golf unless I get to drive the cart.) We were lucky with the perfect overcast evening weather too...the rain began just minutes after our shoot was over as the kids drove off to their ice cream shop reward for being such good subjects for me. A little bird told me they were getting extra sprinkles~

I love babies in bright colors (and mom's who wear cool orange shoes too)! Olivia came by today for an in-between session without her big brother...she had newborn shots, but mom wanted to capture this fun & chubby time before Olivia grows even more. I'm sure next time I see her, she will be going places on her own!

Poor dad....he is SO outnumbered! But these girls are wonderful...especially the oldest who is a college student at University of Miami and was my go-to contact for the entire portrait process! I have lots of images of the two middle sisters too, because they were so lively...even though this was a newborn session for Miss Joey, who was born just three days ago, on MY birthday!

I see this family at least three times a year, so we are very good friends...and I love that because our shoots are so fun and easy. These kids are NOT afraid to be themselves! So, when grandma and grandpa came to visit from Australia, I was so excited to shoot the kids with them. Then, seeing grandma on a scooter....I was not disappointed!

Newborns are the absolutely best. Thank you to all my wonderful clients for making these lovely babies!!

Summer vacation is over and I am back to shooting...which feels GREAT. A few babies were born while I was away, so that's where I will begin...here's a brand new little man, 2 weeks old and sweet as can be. And, how cool is his name, Maverick?

The studio officially reopens next Monday, but  we have been booking holiday sessions all summer and the calendar is quite full. Each year our fall sessions sell out earlier and earlier, so if you are considering a session please book early to avoid disappointment. Here's all the info regarding fall sessions:

Standard and signature sessions are available through the end of October. See the portrait site for all pricing information and calendar deadlines.

Only signature sessions are booked for November and December. These sessions are our premium offering and include a beautiful session album of all your images. No standard sessions are available during these two months.

As always, we have beautiful custom holiday cards available, including our new samples above. Cards are available for purchase with an accompanying portrait order and take 2-3 weeks for design and printing. We also have a number of exciting new products this year including presentation boxes, gift books, and wall gallery collections!

If you do not require a full session, but wish to have stunning holiday cards and/or need gift prints, consider a mini session. Dates are on the calendar (of the portrait site). Mini sessions are just $275, last 10-15 minutes long, and include an online galley with 10-12 images available, and one 8x12 gift portrait. Mini sessions are offered at the studio each month, pending availability.

Sorry for the lack to blogging NYC...there is just too much going on here to get anything done at all! I do want to share some from the Museum of Modern Art though, which houses the absolute best collection of it's kind in the universe. And, this place is PACKED with art lovers, which made me so happy...I mean, you can barely move in there! I love that they allow photography of the artwork too...here are some of my Art History 101 favorites along with a couple shots of the art-loving mob, and another self portrait, "Reflection in an Airstream Trailer." By the way, the restaurant at the MOMA is FABULOUS!!!

Saint Patrick's is pretty great too. And, also packed with worshipers.
