the ultimate keepsake

We often have clients who want to keep an archive of their sessions with us, even after they have purchased wall galleries and albums to enjoy in their home. Last year we added a digital collection as the ultimate keepsake and it has been very popular. We include instructions for caring for your files and for making high quality prints and your keepsake comes in a lovely custom case like the one above.

buttercup

Alex and Asia came by today to show me their new puppy, Buttercup. How adorable is this little girl? I think getting a new pet  is the PERFECT time for a photoshoot….those doggies grow faster than kids! Who doesn’t want to remember that squishy, new puppy stage forever?

pink + green = fun!

Olivia and Charlotte saw their friend Lila’s portraits and came today for their own shoot (from Chicago!). I love their colorful style…we did their shoot at my house and it worked out great, especially since I have a stash of lollipops here!

sitting by the dock

I haven’t seen these two boys in a while…but I have been photographing both of them since they were born, so when I see them now it is pretty amazing how quickly time passes. The sunlight was absolutely perfect this day, which is really rare here, and I was thrilled that we could shoot virtually anywhere we wanted to! The boys were just happy to be able to go and pose on their docked boats.

at the playground

This is the second time in the last few months I have photographed Miss Halle…the cooler weather is definitely fun for layering clothes and bringing out the boots. I love her style!

all together now

I loved photographing this beautiful family…the three youngest girls still live at home now, their older brother lives in Los Angeles, and their big sister and her husband (and new baby!) are in Australia. So, to have the whole big family together was a big deal…. and a great opportunity for photos.

We are *just* back from vacation and have  a lot to share! I photographed these three beautiful sisters over my vacation since they live in California and only come out for photos every so often…. I think they look like three little princesses in a fairy tale setting here. Well, maybe four princesses actually, since their mama is so gorgeous too!

We had so much fun at this maternity session. This gorgeous mama was probably *the* most prepared maternity client I have ever had…she brought a fantastic assortment of clothes and accessories…all perfect for photos. My assistant and I were beyond thrilled! Of course, she made the session rock too, just by being so into it (Dad was great too), it was really hard for me to narrow down all the shots for the blog; I just love them all and I am really excited to meet the new baby boy.

Santa brought  so much great stuff this year…two favorites were wii games and this poker set. Have you ever seen a 4 and a 6 year old playing seven card stud? You have now.

The last day of vacation always comes too quickly for me. We spent the day in Labadee, Haiti just relaxing in a lovely private cabana overlooking an unspoiled powder-sand beach where the boys played in the crystal clear water below. I took a few minutes to explore the crumpling ruins on hill and photographed them with the point-and-shoot, wishing I had my pro camera along for this only…. Today though, I did not even want to read my book, I just savored  the experience of being here. The piña colada was a bonus. *wink*
