Anthony’s mama came in for some maternity portraits and he (almost) stole the show with his big eyes and long lashes. How gorgeous are these two? I cannot wait to see his little sister too…it will not be long before that cutie makes her appearance~

I am actually taking off for a little R&R for the next few days….things have been crazy with fall coming on strong this year plus teaching in Atlanta at Learnfest. The studio will remain open to take care of all clients though, so fear not! Here are a few more favorites of Ellis and his dad. They collect dinosaurs and vintage cameras.

I have been photographing these three brothers since before they were born actually (in mama’s belly!). Every time I see them, I know I comment on how they are little carbon copies of their dad….but each definitely has his own big and unique personality. I love how they are comfortable to express that and be themselves with me. They are 100% real….love how kids are like that.

Olivia and Jaxon came to the studio all the way from Miami, and while I would expect they would be worn out and grumpy form the trip, they were not at all. In fact, they came up to the loft ready to rock their session! I have been seeing lots of Miami kids lately and they are always so fun and fashioable…check out Olivia’s amazing dress and silver sandals and Jaxon’s True Religions. I *may* be scheduling some mini sessions at my friend Nina Surel’s Lincoln Road Art Center studio at the end of the year; if you are interested in these, please shoot us an email.

I was so excited to shoot these little twins girls, along with big sister Treasure (almost 2) and big brother Andrew (10 months) and the four of them did give me the workout I expected! These are a few of my initial favorites from our session but we have many more to still proof. Can you believe these two babies (each under 5 lbs) fit so nicely in a salad bowl? Who needs a crib!

You may recognize Lauren and Ashley because they have been featured on my website for four years now. These two really remind me of the “girl” versions of my own boys….they are close in age, sweet, yet fiesty too. Their family is also one of the most down to earth I know and I enjoy seeing them each year. We decided to meet up at this garden today, which is one of my favorite places. You can’t even tell that it was about 90 degrees and 150% humidity and drizzling….I am praying for fall to come early this year.

Annika and Mike are two of my favorite clients; I met them last year when I was asked to photograph their lovely, intimate wedding and was so happy to also capture the first portraits of their little Ava. Besides being one of the best female athletes of our generation, Annika is a very sweet, natural, and super smart. She and Mike are super easy to work with because they just have so much fun together. You can see how absolutely thrilled they are to be parents and how they are consumed with their first baby, just like every other new mom and dad. Here are a few of my initial favorites from Ava’s newborn session~

I don’t shoot a lot of maternity, but when I found out these two were adding 2 more babies to their beautiful family….I was thrilled to capture these images for them! I absolutely adore this family and their home is one of my favorite places to work, especially that little hidden nook where mama is sitting in the first portrait and also her gorgeous bathroom, with that pretty fountain right outside the door.
And, here’s the two “big kids” of the family….Andrew almost 1, and Treasure, almost 2. This home is going to be one busy place very soon~

I don’t have many sessions with dads and sons, and I would love to do this more often! This dad, is an amazing filmmaker and needed some updated images of little Ellis, who I have not photographed in while. It was really good to see both of them and to be able to get them some “buddy” portraits to celebrate their close relationship. You can really feel how much they adore each other too!

I was so happy to get some portraits of Jackson with his new puggle (pug+beagle) Lulu before she got much bigger. How sweet is this duo? There is something magical about kids and pets growing up together….love it!
