fun times

I have been shooting this family for a long time, since Miss Emily was an only child! Now, there are two brothers, Maxwell and Jackson….which makes my job a little more challenging. Good thing I love a challenge! How adorable is this trio?

for the photographers

If you are a client, you may not know that I co-publish one of the photo industy’s top resources…Design Aglow. This is my “other” baby. Today, we launched our SEVENTH issue of our magazine…feeling very proud here!! From our press release:

To branch out means to extend outward, whether in the framework of a tree grasping for the warmth of a January sun, or as seen through the lenses of our industry’s top photographers. We bathe in a bright opportunity for the amazing photographers who share stories in images and capture now forever with their pictures.

In this (ad free!) 386 page issue, Rock Star of Photography Jerry Ghionis dazzles us with a sizzling slice of life; Anna Kuperberg shares why photography may well go to the dogs; Jay Reilly trades on the photo stock market; Susan Stripling discusses romantic destination weddings in a way that makes even us say “I do”; Marci Ralph takes ‘senior’ citizens to new heights with high school photography; the Boudoir Divas share insights into the ‘secrets’ of Victoria. Anne Ruthmann instructs how networking keeps her on her ‘tweet’, Laura Novak and Sarah Petty’s knowledge of increasing photography revenue is an article to bank on for success. And take a peek into Adele Reding’s gorgeous studio, the surroundings of a true photographic visionary.

With this, we welcome you to Issue 7 of Design Aglow: Branching Out. To see a table of contents, click here.

We are back and it is baby season here….lots of newbies coming our way! Say hello to Bronson here, who was one week old and seven pounds of adorableness at our session together.

We have a lot of exciting changes coming up asap, most notably a new website. That is taking up lots of time these days…but I think it will be worth the wait~

just married

I came out of wedding retirement for just one day to shoot a very special wedding…for Annika Sorenstam and Mike McGee at Lake Nona, in Orlando. This is just one teaser image for now because we have so many to review, but I promise I will update with more very soon. A huge thank you to the amazing Laura Novak, who was my associate shooter for the day. We make a great team, but going forward I think I will continue with the babies and kids and leave the weddings to Laura!

There are images all over the press now…but Golf.com has a really nice gallery of seven right here with the story.

the family that wears converse together….

…steals my heart! My last shoot of the year was one of my favorite families of all time, and one of my oldest…we see eachother once a year for portraits no matter what…and a few other times for some other fun stuff. I have watched these super adventurous, world-travelled, amazing kids grow and change and I love them and their incredible creative energy. When your clients inspire you like these guys…work is better than almost anything!

catching up, again.

I just realized I never posted some of my last holiday sessions because things were so crazy at the studio before we closed for vacation. This family lives in Monaco and I have not seen them since their littlest one, Max was born a year ago. This little guy is was happy to be in warm Florida for a winter vacation!

the new year started off…

a little random. Today, on our last day here, was c-o-l-d…at least for me! Spent the holiday at a park…the big Christmas tree was still up and we drank a hot mocha to warm up while the boys played. When we returned to the house, the ice cream man was coming down our block…and the pure joy was seen on the faces of my kids, all the neighborhood kids, and lots of grownups too! Check out our new wax lips~
