is it possible to be in love with a whole family?

I love so many of my families….they are the greatest people I know and this one is extra special to me because it is such a big one! I would have given anything to move right in with them when I was a (lonely only child) their age. And, this shoot was pretty much sheer perfection on so many levels (can’t wait to share more!) and the kids were the absolute best subjects I know. As a nice bonus for backgrounds, their home is stunning beyond description. I have so many to show, but it is really late, so just a couple for now and more on the way tomorrow!

a-hoy baby Andrew!

Two babies in thirteen months have blessed this lucky family….first a sweet little girl and now her little brother who sleeps in the most fantastic nursery I have EVER seen (and I have seen some pretty jaw-dropping ones too)! In his undersea abode the sun’s rays peeks through the water’s surface (on the ceiling), a shipwreck pays tribute to this little man’s name, and schools of fish, both painted and real mounted ones, swim about. The adjoining bathroom is pretty-much beyond description…let’s just say it carries out the them in a mosaic masterpiece of teeny tiny glass tiles. I am convinced our next shoot will take place in that bathroom with both kids in the tub and lots of bubbles!

pretty (great) in pink

I adore this family and see them every few months, and I think we have done pretty much everything together….so when mom pulled out the pink palette today to spice things up, I was all for it! How gorgeous and real is this Aussie family? I am keeping the potential holiday card images on the down low….just so they can be a surprise for the lucky recipients of the super unique cards we create.

convertible weather

I think it’s finally cooling off here *crossing my fingers* and outdoor sessions are really in full swing. The first shot is a surprise for dad…the girls jumped into his super sweet vintage car for a shot at the end of the session. Of course it turned out to be my favorite even though we got lots of fun & playful stuff indoors too!

it's beginning to look a lot like you-know-what….

These two get the festive award with a selection of Christmas looks in red and green! I love how bright colors pop in this beautiful Palm Beach garden…and you can’t even tell how hot it was! Bring on the jingle bells and candy canes~

around town

Jackson had been on the blog before….his is a typical three year old boy, super busy. Ever since I met him, he has had a passion for trains (we even did one shoot AT the train station)…which is so funny because his dad has a private jet business. Personally, I think the jets are really where it’s at!

sweet sofia

We are *so* swamped with work now; I mean, it is CRAZY busy here! I did want to get up a fun portrait of Miss Sofia for her mama though~ I have also been photographing Sofia since she was born and now that she is two years old, she can fit into big sister, Serena’s dress, circa 10 years ago. Love that!

cityplace session: sisters

Mom brought “fancy” dresses, but she knew I would not let her go there…how cool are these two sisters working they hip toddler/baby look? I have been shooting Kate and Molly since they were itty bitty newbies so nothing makes me happier to keep up with them and their family and see how beautiful they have become!

lucky break

Pavani is such a sweet baby…I told her mom that I have never been able to get a shot like the first one with a baby older than two weeks…that has never happened in the seven years I have been working with babies! So, I just want to say thanks to this 8 week old cutie for being so great for me…and I know she will love looking at herself in this nudie image when she grows up.

my people

I finally had one of my workshop participants send me images from my shoot demo in New Orlean, thank you Jen Best! Here you can see me getting low with adorable 2 year old Fletcher and his mama…then the black and white image is the one I was actually creating here. Pretty cool…I wish I always travelled with such a great entourage of talented photographers!
