new session albums are here!

We are in love with our new session albums!!! Starting in April, we will be offering these stunning keepsake session albums with our signature sessions. A 5×5 album of 30 art bordered images is included and if a larger album is desired, an 8×8 upgrade (with a front cover photo) option is available. We will be stocking these in your choice of white or black covers and pages are available in black or white as well. The best thing about these? Immediate satisfaction. They will be ready a week after your shoot when you come in for your order session! And, the quality is beyond perfection…we know you will want to collect these from each session. I am already making plans for a library of these from my own family images!

upcoming photographers' workshop

I have three more speaking engagements scheduled for the rest of 2008…and that’s it for me…I mean it too, the portrait work is taking me all over the world this year!

I am so excited about the Learnfest retreat because I am hosting it with three friends I truly admire as peers in the industry, each for their own stunning talents. We will have a website up shortly and are currently collecting names of interested participants. We anticipate this unique workshop selling out very quickly, so please email me at info@lenahyde.com if you would like to be contacted when more details are available and when registration opens.

September 23 – September 25, 2008 – the Learnfest, Bald Head Island, North Carolina

This unique program has been built as an all-inclusive learnfest on one of the east coast’s most premier island destinations.

Conducted by: Lena Hyde, Tamara Lackey, Laura Novak and Audrey Woulard

Designed for portrait photographers who wish to take their business to the next creative and strategic level.

wide awake one

Miss Britain was so wide awake at our session today and not having some of my posing ideas at all! Notice the difference two weeks makes from the last baby. It’s a lot of change at this age…and the older newbies are super wide awake. I love this look she gave me when she peeked over mama’s shoulder.

from Miami

Last week, I flew straight back from Las Vegas on the red eye…just in time for my Doral sessions. It was a whirlwind week of travel, but I had so much seeing all my photographer friends at the annual WPPI convention in LV and then shooting some of my favorite little people in Miami. Check out this cutie, Miss Stella. I just saw her last month and she has already changed!

And, here are Leo and Ella who were really great together and perfectly adorable with their British accents. I hope to see them again in May, when I am shooting my London sessions.

One more…little Georgia. This peanut was so sweet, barely awake during a session but so cooperative! The minute her mommy put her in her carriage, she went right to sleep.

funny guy

I recently had a shoot with THREE boston terriers…a breed I know and love. Here’s the alpha boss and goofball of the trio, Charlie.

presenting baby Molly

Our newest newbie, Miss Molly was a week old and absolutely perfectly content during her session. Remember: a newborn shoot is the most successful during the first 10 days of life, while babies are still very chilled out! This stage is short-lived, unfortunately…babies are then super wide awake after two weeks and do not like being nude, changed, and positioned very much…and will definitely let you know it!

cityplace sessions

It is the perfect time of year for outdoor sessions here at the loft! My (just turned) three-year-old friend Jackson and I had a fun time walking around and looking for trains, which are his passion. We actually shot at the train station last time which, I think, made us instant BFFs. So, this time it was very easy to get some great shots!
